A young man was killed with a machete in a gang fight in the Los Lotes area

A fight between gang members has left a young man dead. The dispute happened early Sunday morning in the Los Lotes area. Police are gathering more information about the death.

Official reports indicate that the subject was injured after being attacked with a machete during a fight that started between gang members. Although he was still alive, he was taken to various hospital centers by neighbors and relatives, who initially did not pay any attention to him.

Police identified the deceased as José Armando Rivera Cruz, 18. The first official report indicated head injuries as the probable cause of death.

The Special Prosecutor’s Office for Crimes Against Life, headed by Rose María Barrientos, has launched an investigation in coordination with the Special Crime Unit. The body of the deceased was transferred to the morgue of the Pampa de la Isla Hospital for the appropriate autopsy.

Felcc operatives coordinated with the deceased’s relatives to fully apprehend those responsible for the incident. It was gathered that at least six persons were involved in the fight and attack on the man that ultimately died.
