CityU President Yin-cheong Boi said he was pleased to see the winning start-ups using CityU’s patented technologies to enhance their I&T products and services. The university will continue to work hard to create a more vibrant I&T ecosystem through more cross-disciplinary, cross-sector and cross-regional collaborations.

Two Hong Kong start-ups made it into the top ten.Yunhe Technology Co., Ltd.Focused on developing mixed reality (MR) surgery-assisted software that converts medical scan data into holograms that surgeons wear during surgeryMR gogglesinstantly comparing patients’ medical images with ultra-low latency.Super Bamboo Co., Ltd.It is a green material technology startup whose main products are “super bamboo” and “porous biochar”. It aims to launch its first bamboo panel and fire-resistant building products before the end of this year.
