The Moroccan Educational Research Center in Rabat and the European Institute of Philosophy in Brussels, in collaboration with the International Institute of Islamic Thought in Washington and the Higher Normal School in Rabat, are preparing to establish the Maghreb University of Education. The first session was led by Khaled Al-Samadi, Secretary of State for Higher Education and Practical Research at the Minister of Education, Vocational Training and Higher Education.

The first course of the Maghreb University of Education is titled: “People and Values ​​in Worldview and Issues of Educational Models in Contemporary Transformation” and will be held from July 1 to 7 next year at the Higher Normal School in Rabat, Kingdom of Morocco.

According to the introductory speech presented, the project is the result of a collaboration between the Moroccan Educational Research Center in Rabat and the Institute of Philosophy in Brussels, in conjunction with the International Institute of Islamic Thought in Washington. More than 50 doctoral students from Morocco and abroad are expected to participate.

The same speech confirmed that the students involved in the preparation of the Maghreb University of Education come mostly from Western European, West African and North African countries, and that its activities are supervised and participated by a number of experts and research professors from different universities, with a joint focus on training and research in education, educational sciences and their problems.

Participants from the same university are expected to study and analyze the theme “People and Values ​​in Worldview and Problems of Educational Models in Contemporary Transformation”. Its activities will include lectures, seminars, workshops and field trips to scientific and academic institutions as well as tourist and cultural facilities.
