Timor-Leste attends the 39th ASEAN-Japan Forum in Bangkok, Thailand on June 25, 2024.
The meeting was co-chaired by Japan and Thailand, focusing on issues related to the development of ASEAN and Japan, and discussing topics such as the direction and future goals of the ASEAN-Japan comprehensive strategic partnership, cooperation initiatives and regional development. 
The Timor-Leste delegation was led by Elisa Maria da Silva, Director-General for ASEAN Affairs, and accompanied by Iván Alves, ASEAN Liaison Officer.
