As High Dynamic Range (HDR) workflows become increasingly popular in broadcast, production and professional AV, AJA Dante AV 4K v1.1 provides support for HDR, ensuring that HDR signals pass seamlessly through the device and that users can easily change HDR metadata on the received output. In addition, AJA Dante AV 4K v1.1 activates a second locking Ethernet port (Eth2) on the device, allowing users to connect a second device to their Dante AV switch without having to run a second Ethernet cable directly to the switch.

With the update, new cropping and scaling features for 4K-R will be available, allowing users to easily scale 4K to UHD and downscale UHD to HD, with the ability to choose between automatic, native and cropped 4K to UHD/scaled UHD to HD. AJA Dante AV 4K v1.1 also validates selected 4K and 8K 4×4 workflows, where an AJA 4K-T signal can be sent to four 4K-Rs and all four outputs are confirmed to be in time and in sync, which is critical in a live production setting where all four outputs must be perfectly timed. 3G Level B 4:2:2 10-bit high frame rate is also now supported. Added compatibility with Audinate’s Dante Domain Manager, available from leading resellers worldwide, ensures that AJA 4K-R and 4K-T users can leverage the solution’s API to control Dante via a touchscreen, monitor status and automate workflows.
