Dam Press:

Israel’s Channel 14 admitted that a war between Israel and Hezbollah would not break out in the near future, suspecting that it “most likely will not happen at all.”
Meanwhile, the channel’s political reporter Tamir Morag criticised the gap between public statements and discussions behind closed doors at the political level.
Morag confirmed that the US pressure that influenced a greater proportion was “Israel’s” reluctance to fight Hezbollah because of the costs involved.

He explained that political officials will tell northern settlers that “Hezbollah has suffered a serious blow, the situation on the border has fundamentally changed, and the scenario of October 7, 2023 cannot be repeated.”
At the same time, settlers will face intense pressure to return to the north and will have large financial grants withheld if they refuse, suggesting that the same situation applies to the borders of the Gaza Strip.

“Israelis in the north must know that the decision to wage a real war against Hezbollah lies in their hands: if they return, there will be no war, and if they do not return, the Israeli government and army will have no choice but to fight,” Morag said.

The political journalist admitted that in the current situation on the front line with Lebanon, Hezbollah has managed to evacuate the entire strip throughout the war, adding: “If Hezbollah thinks it has won, then the next war will come soon and will be completely different from the previous one. We are preparing for war.”
Against this backdrop, CNN published a lengthy report examining the risk of a full-scale war between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon and exploring why the current outbreak is more dangerous than ever before.
The report explains that “since the inconclusive war in 2006, Israel has been planning a repeat of this game, and Hezbollah has long been ready for war.”
