This year’s theme is, Empowering educators, enriching learners: the era of AI education The guest speakers will Dr. Mike SharplesEmeritus Professor of Educational Technology, The Open University, UK.

From personalized learning journeys to innovative content creation, AI is not a threat, but a partner in creating educational excellence. The event is the latest in our long-standing partnership with the Guardian Group and the Teaching Excellence Series to recognise and celebrate teaching excellence at UWI St Augustine. The UWI/Guardian Group Teaching Excellence Awards are open to all full-time academic staff at UWI St Augustine who have taught regularly for at least two consecutive years. This also includes Deans and Heads of Department who continue to teach at least half of their normal teaching load.
