Reynir Bjarkan Róbertsson and his U20 men’s basketball teammates defeated Estonia 72-84 in their opening match of the Nordic Championships in Södertälje, Sweden yesterday. The match was the first of four games in the tournament, but today at 17:15 they will play against the home team in Sweden.

Iceland’s top vote-getter in this match was Almar Orri Atlason from Skagfjörður (son of Atla Svein and Imbu and Jennýjar Leif and Freyja) with 34 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. Then Leo Curtis had 14 points, 12 rebounds and 3 assists. Reynir Bjarkan played for 4 minutes and 6 seconds yesterday, but hopefully he will get more minutes in the next game to show what he can do.
