“I also hope that my brother will not be victimized because of his surname and my activities as a sitting opposition MP. I am also surprised that only my brother’s name, and my name, appeared in the media leaks. Meanwhile, in PK’s statement, Serin wrote: “Seven accused persons were mentioned in the article, but their names were not mentioned.”

PK announced in a statement on Wednesday that prosecutors submitted an application to the court for pretrial detention of the four individuals due to the need to ensure the proper conduct of the proceedings.
It was reported that “the court has made a provisional arrest of Ryszard S. on suspicion of committing two acts related to Article 230, Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code and Article 12 of the Criminal Code.”
“The investigation revealed that Ryszard S., in exchange for promises of material benefits and advantages in the form of, for example, free hotel accommodation, acted as an intermediary to illegally influence the decisions and actions of the State Secretary of the Ministry of Culture and the General Administrator of State Heritage-Monuments, on the subject of the planned investment in Miedzyzdroje,” the prosecutor’s office said.
“In addition, he acted and negotiated jointly with Maciej K., accepting promises of financial benefits in exchange for help in obtaining targeted subsidies from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage under the 2023 Monument Conservation Program,” the prosecutor’s office added.
