Chisinau, April 7 (Xinhua) — Moldovan President Dodon and Prime Minister Filip met separately with the Chinese Communist Party delegation headed by Zhang Chunxian, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, on the 7th.
Zhang Jun said that this year marks the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Morocco. The important consensus reached by the two countries’ top leaders has provided political guidance and injected strong impetus for the development of bilateral relations.
Zhang Jun said that the Communist Party of China is willing to further deepen exchanges with all Moldovan political parties. Under the new circumstances, the two sides should jointly seize the major opportunities of the “Belt and Road” construction, deepen pragmatic cooperation, and play an important role in promoting the stable and healthy development of bilateral relations.
Zhang Jun also introduced the new strategies and concepts for governing the country since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
Dodon and Philip said that Moldova attaches great importance to developing relations with China and admires the remarkable achievements made in China’s economic and social development since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. All Moldovan political parties are friendly to China and hope to further strengthen exchanges with the Communist Party of China.
The Moldovan leader said that the economies of Moldova and China are highly complementary and the prospects for cooperation are broad. He said that Moldova will actively participate in the “Belt and Road” initiative and welcome more Chinese companies to invest in Moldova and participate in the construction of Moldova’s agriculture, infrastructure and other fields.
Zhang Jun led a delegation of the Communist Party of China to visit Moldova at the invitation of the Democratic Party of Moldova. During the visit, Zhang Jun also met with Plahotniuc, chairman of the Democratic Party of Moldova, and Voronin, chairman of the Communist Party, to exchange views on deepening cooperation between the two parties.
