Major General Specialist Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri, Assistant Commander-in-Chief of Criminal Investigation Affairs at Dubai Police, unveiled the Dubai Police Platform at the Global Village, which will run for the duration of designated events at the Global Village and aims to introduce a wide range of service activities to visitors, promote public safety awareness and enhance the sense of security among external public groups.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Major General Ahmed Thani bin Ghalita, Director General of the Forensic Evidence and Criminology Department, Major General Eid Mohammed Hareb, Director General of the Narcotics Control Department, Major General Saeed Hamad bin Sulaiman, Chief of Rashidiya Police, as well as Major General Adel Al Suwaidi, Director of Jebel Ali Center, Major General Tariq Tahlak, Director of Naif Police Department, Major General Abdullah Khadim bin Suroor, Director of Bur Dubai Police Department, Brigadier General Hareb Al Shamsi, Acting Director General of the Criminal Investigation Department, several public sector and police officials and police chiefs.

The services provided by the platform include the ‘Police Your Neighborhood’ initiative, ‘Police Eyes’, (Crime) Platform, Smart Police Station (SPS) Service, ‘On Your Road’ initiative, Suburban Points Service, International Hermaya Centre Service, Housing Guarantee, Tourist Police Service and Found and Lost Property Service.

Major General Expert Mansouri confirmed that the launch of the platform comes within the framework of the Dubai Police General Command’s consistent keenness to participate in various events and occasions held in the emirate to strengthen communication with community members, listen to their opinions and suggestions, and identify challenges that can enhance Dubai Police’s goal of consolidating the sense of security and happiness of community members.

Brigadier General Hareib Al Shamsi explained that Dubai Police is keen to introduce its services in various locations to attract visitors who are members of the community, in line with a clear strategy to enhance communication with the external public and spread awareness about various negative phenomena, noting that the platform will be present in the Global Village throughout the duration of the event, with the assumption that it will be permanent and continuous throughout the upcoming seasons of the Global Village.

He added that the platform also aims to present the efforts of Dubai Police and the smart and quality services provided through its various platforms, with the aim of making it easier for people to access various services, in addition to listening to their opinions and answering their various inquiries, inviting visitors to visit the platform located near the Global Village Theatre every week from 4pm to 12am.

Lastly, Major General Mansouri paid tribute to the Criminal Investigation Department, the Global Village Field Team, Al Barsha Police Station and a number of partners, officials, police personnel and collaborators in local criminal events and activities, praising their efforts to enhance safety and security in the emirate.
