Prime Minister Manele to visit Australia

Prime Minister Jeremiah Manele will make his first official visit to Australia on 23road and 29day June 2024.

During his visit to Brisbane and Canberra, the Prime Minister will meet with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marrs and senior ministers.

He will also visit places that have supported the Solomon Islands and meet with Solomon Islanders living in Australia, including workers under the Pacific Mobility Scheme.

Prime Minister Manele also hopes to use the visit to further strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries and reiterate his government’s commitment to cooperating with Australia in areas of mutual interest.

Following his visit to Australia, Prime Minister Manele will pay his first official visit to China as Prime Minister in early July.

The Prime Minister will visit Fujian Province, Beijing and Shandong Province. During the visit, the Prime Minister will meet with the leadership in Beijing and the provinces.

Prime Minister Manele hopes to use this visit to further strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries and reiterated that the Malaysian government is committed to cooperating with China in areas of common concern.

Following his visit to China, the Prime Minister will attend the PALM 10 conference in Tokyo, Japan from July 16 to 18, along with other Pacific Forum leaders.
