Unexpected career change: Well-known media personality Zahara Totto left Sanyuka TV and joined Makula TV as a DJ.
Zahara, who is known for her active presence in the entertainment industry, expressed the reason for her transformation, saying it was a necessity for career advancement.
“I got to a point where I felt like I was overdoing the same thing for a long time without making any progress in my career. In this economy, that’s killing me.Zahara explained.
“Gossip doesn’t get me far. I need a complete show that allows me to grow in all aspects of my life.” she added.
Zahara Totto’s departure follows reports earlier this year that she had been sacked by Next Media Services over disciplinary issues.
Despite these setbacks, Zahara remains a prominent figure in the Ugandan entertainment industry.
Her rise to fame began in 2017 when she hosted the popular celebrity gossip show “Live Wire” on Spark TV along with her colleague Annatalia Oze. The success of the show led to them being recruited by NBS TV where they continued their gossip career by hosting the show “Uncut”.
In addition to her television career, Zahara Toto has ventured into several fields including aviation, DJing and brand influence.
