Many long-standing trouble spots around the world are on the brink of eruption.

Since 1945, more than a hundred wars have been fought, and the world is still plagued by conflicts over border disputes, ethnicity, political freedom of speech, resources, and sectarianism.

At least 30 countries are likely to see unrest or fighting – from drug cartels in Honduras to fears of a new uprising in Israel.
