People are traveling more frequently, but their preferences are changing.

Finns are travelling more, according to the latest data from Statistics Finland, which shows that both domestic and international trips increased by 10% in the January-April period compared with the same period last year.

While Finns are travelling more for leisure, fewer are travelling for business.

In total, Finns made around 9 million trips (including overnight stays).

The figures also show that Finns prefer to go on holiday ChangeFor example, travel to Türkiye and Thailand is not as popular as in previous years.

At the same time, the number of tourists to Helsinki collapse Finland’s tourism industry has shrunk by about a fifth since 2019 as it struggles to make up for losses caused by the coronavirus pandemic and war.
