The question is: Are hotels a symbol of hospitality???

This is not the case in my opinion, the hotel is a symbol of transience, this reasoning makes me understand that from one moment to the next, the guests of this project will stay in the square as before.

There are pregnant women and children who are not included in the reception list. There are more than 130 Somalis in the cold emergency. Why are they not all included? They have been abandoned.

The 130 people who were entertained had to follow the rules, such rules or very difficult rules, with the above characteristics, the most noteworthy things that the sleepers always talked about were:

  • They are not capable of making food (e.g. hot tea)

  • They don’t have native language teachers or dual language teachers (Italian and Somali)

  • The place where your companions study and practice need to be explained

So far we do not know the life of the project, but one thing is certain, it will end soon, because this place is a hotel, this is my point before talking about funding, we know very well that PACI cannot be the same. As SPRAR, because the Sprar project is a national and European project, with fixed funding every year, but the PACI project??? One thing is certain, if in a few months the contract expires and the owner does not renew it, then the truth of the project will come out, and in my opinion, the project will end, or something else will happen, such as a decrease in guests. At that time, the city government will make the case for the idea we put forward.

What is our advice?

This is an alternative to the Paci project, which provides abandoned buildings with a regular and self-recovery approach. educational Self-management with the help of vulnerable groups organizations such as Arci, Arcobaleno, UNHCR, etc. This will save a lot of money and guarantee a stable life for refugees
