Nearly a year ago, New Zealand DJ software company Serato announced it was being sold to Japanese electronics giant AlphaTheta Corporation (ATC) for more than $100 million.

It’s an impressive result for the company, co-founded by Auckland University classmates AJ Bertenshaw and Stephen West, who have been working on it for more than 20 years.
