Launch of the Empowering Women Aspirations Program at the School of Energy and Water

Mr. Muhammad Abu Nayan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ACWA Power, launched the “Empowering Women’s Aspirations” program, which is hosted by the Energy and Water Academy and is dedicated to improving the qualifications of Saudi women in the fields of energy, water, etc. Engineer Thamer bin Saud Al-Sharhan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ACWA Power Academy, explained: Stressing that this program is considered to reflect the interest of the wise leadership in the energy and water sectors, may God bless them, which have made great leaps for the Kingdom in the past few years, as the country has begun to keep pace with the most developed countries in the world in these fields, indicating that the Academy seeks to keep up with this transformation to achieve the requirements of the future vision 2030 by providing training and technical services that focus on the latest training methods, the best training environment and applied courses.

Engineer Tariq bin Muhammad Al-Shamrani, CEO of the Academy, confirmed that the program aims to enhance the capabilities of girls in the country in the fields of arts and technical professions, contributing to the achievement of the vision goals, noting that the program began with the qualification of 57 girls in various fields such as energy, water and occupational health and safety by ACWA Power with the support of the Human Resources Development and Welfare Fund. ACWA Power is a strategic partner of the Academy and the General Corporation for Technical and Vocational Training. It is the largest company in the world in the field of desalination, the first company in the field of green hydrogen, and a pioneer in the field of energy transition, emphasizing the efforts of the Academy in the program to enhance and build the capabilities of Saudi women to become an effective element and an honorable example of female leadership in the fields of energy and desalination.
