More than four in ten Slovaks imagine their dream vacation to be relaxing by the sea. In reality, however, more than two in five Slovaks do not know at all whether they will go on vacation this year.
If Slovaks had to choose their dream vacation, it would definitely be relaxing by the sea. This option was mentioned in the agency’s May survey. Solutions Group Pre-network Openazochi As many as 44% of the respondents said that most of them would rather choose to vacation in a resort in an exotic country, and a small number of people choose to vacation at the seaside outside the tourist resort.
The survey, conducted on a sample of 506 respondents from the internet population aged over 15, also showed that a large part of Slovaks prefer to vacation in a family environment, whether in a cottage, a cabin or simply at home. This option is your dream holiday More than 15% of the respondents said so. Only a slightly smaller proportion (14.5%) said that a sightseeing vacation, that is, getting to know a city, a region or visiting historical sites, would be their dream way to relax.
“Slovaks mainly dream of a relaxing holiday by the sea. More than four in ten Slovaks prefer such a summer holiday. Both men and women agree on this. At the exact opposite end of the spectrum, for example, are family active or sports holidays, boating holidays or visits to cultural events – the fewest people (i.e. about 2%) consider them as their dream,” points to the findings of research manager ResSolution Group Eva Sklenarova.
The Slovaks’ actual plans were different
However, if we ask Slovaks about their real plans for this summer holiday, we see a completely different picture. Although seaside holidays still dominate, the percentage of people who actually plan to go to the seaside is less than 27%. The largest share of respondents (more than 44%) do not plan to go on holiday at all or do not have any summer holiday plans at the end of May.
Will you take your dream vacation this year?
The result is exactly the opposite Polls It shows that lovers of sightseeing vacations seem to be most likely to realize dreams related to summer vacations. The proportion of Slovaks who are planning a vacation is exactly the same as those who consider it a dream vacation, i.e. 14.5% of the respondents. Similarly, almost 15% of the respondents plan to relax in a spa or wellness facility during the summer tourist season.
“The reality of holiday planning this year is a little different – more than two fifths of the Slovak population have not yet decided on a holiday for this year or have no plans at all. When they decide to go somewhere for vacation, the sea always takes the lead, followed by leisure accommodation and sightseeing vacations,” Sklenarova added.
