Dam Press:

A senior Egyptian source has announced that reports on some news sites that Egypt has agreed to participate in the United Nations Arab forces are not true.
The source explained that the claims of Egyptian participation in the Arab army’s control of border crossings in the Gaza Strip are not true.

This confirms Egypt’s previous statement that no transactions will be conducted at the Rafah crossing except for Palestinian and international parties, and stressed that Egypt will not coordinate with the Israeli side at the crossing.

The European Union announced its intention to restore its observer status at the Rafah crossing between the Gaza Strip and Egyptian territory, in accordance with the crossing agreement approved after the withdrawal of Israeli troops from the Gaza Strip in 2005.

The United Nations said on Tuesday that despite a daytime halt to Israeli military activity, it was unable to distribute aid into the Gaza Strip from the Israeli-controlled Kerem Shalom crossing due to confusion and panic among hungry people in the area.
