Discussing Kingdom’s AI technology and smart city projects with South Korea’s Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport

His Excellency Dr. Abdullah bin Sharaf Al Ghamdi, Director General of the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority, met today with His Excellency Park Sang-woo, Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of South Korea, during his visit to South Korea, and the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Republic of Korea, Sami bin Mohammed Sadan, and some officials of Staraya discussed cooperation between the two friendly countries in various fields during the meeting. Artificial BroadCast Unitedligence technology and smart cities were discussed.

During the meeting, President Sidaya also reviewed the Kingdom’s efforts in the field of smart cities and the work done by Sidaya in collaboration with several government agencies in this advanced civilization until 5 Saudi cities rise in the IMD Smart Cities Index by 2024.

During the conversation with the Korean Minister, His Excellency reviewed the projects and initiatives implemented by “Sedaya” to realize the concept of smart cities, such as: working on the National Platform for Smart Cities, organizing the first Smart Cities Global Forum in Riyadh, in addition to establishing centers of excellence in several fields and providing many smart solutions to support the development fields of the Kingdom….

During the meeting, both sides stressed the importance of expanding the smart city model at the international level and unifying the common vision for the implementation of smart city initiatives, and reviewed the contributions of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Infrastructure to support smart city projects in the Kingdom.
