The Israeli occupying forces continue their ground and air attacks on various areas and neighbourhoods in Gaza, causing martyrdom and injuries, as the war in the Gaza Strip enters its 254th consecutive day, the first day of Eid al-Adha today (Sunday).
On the first day of Eid al-Fitr, explosions affected areas in all Gaza governorates, with the latest attack hitting two houses in the Bureij refugee camp, a location in Nuseirat and several houses in central Al-Mughraqa. In the Gaza Strip, bombings targeted the Al-Zaytoun and Al-Shuja’iya neighborhoods in Gaza City, as well as continued incursions and ground and air aggression in Rafah in the far south.
Several planes dropped humanitarian aid in various areas of the Gaza Strip. The humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip is worsening as the occupying forces continue to close and occupy crossings and prevent the entry of goods and aid.
Today, the Israeli army announced that three more soldiers were killed, two of whom died in the fighting that broke out in northern Gaza yesterday, and released a list of more soldiers killed in Rafah, while the Army Radio reported that 12 soldiers were killed yesterday. Eight of them were killed in Rafah, two were killed in the northern Gaza Strip, and in addition to the last dead soldier, another died from injuries.
The death toll from Israel’s ongoing war in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023 has reached 37,296, with 85,197 injured.
With today’s announcement, the death toll of Israeli soldiers and officers since October 7, 2023 has risen to 653, following the announcement by the occupation forces yesterday evening (Saturday) that eight soldiers had been killed in an attack and bombing of a troop carrier in the city of Rafah.
