On Saturday, a 16-year-old teenager was killed and two others were injured during a military raid by Israeli forces in Beitforik, east of Nablus in the occupied West Bank.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed the deceased as Abdul Rahman Sultan Khatateba, a resident of Beitforik.
According to local sources, Israeli troops attacked the town, firing live ammunition at local residents, injuring three people.
One Palestinian was shot in the chest and is reportedly in a serious condition.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that its team in Nablus treated three people with gunshot wounds, one of whom was in a serious condition with a chest wound.

The Red Crescent also said Israeli occupying forces attacked an ambulance driver from Beitforik Municipality and smashed his car’s windows as he tried to rescue the wounded.
The other two injured were a 45-year-old man who was shot in the thigh and a 16-year-old boy who was also shot in the thigh.
All the injured were sent to hospital for treatment.
While waging war on the Gaza Strip, the Israeli military has stepped up its incursions into cities, towns and refugee camps throughout the occupied West Bank.
Since the start of Israel’s large-scale aggression against the Palestinian people on October 7, 2023, a total of 547 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces in the West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem, including 134 children. More than 5,200 others have been injured.

Health crisis
World Health Organization (WHO) release The Al-Qaddis news website reported on Saturday that the United Nations warned of a worsening health crisis in the occupied West Bank, calling for “immediate and effective protection of civilians and the health system.”
The group reportedly stressed that “severe restrictions, violence and attacks on medical facilities complicate access to health care.”
In a statement released on Friday, WHO noted that access to health care in the West Bank has become more complicated due to the closure of crossings between the occupied territories and the West Bank, increased insecurity and the blockade of entire villages.

The organization also noted that the severe financial crisis has been exacerbated by the occupation power’s continued withholding of increasing amounts of taxes collected by Palestinians since October 7, resulting in “health care workers receiving only half their wages for almost a year” and only 45% of basic medicines being available.
WHO recorded 480 attacks on medical facilities or ambulances in the West Bank between October 7 and May 28, killing 16 people and injuring 95.
