SonnyIago (SANA) – Chile named one of the main squares in the Rancagua department “The Syrian Arab Republic”.
In a statement to SANA, Ghassan Ankarini, Chargé d’Affaires of the Syrian Embassy in Chile, explained that this move was taken within the framework of friendly cooperation between Syria and the Republic of Chile, at the initiative of the Embassy and the Syrian Diaspora Institutions.
Ancarini noted the bonds of friendship between Syria and Chile, as well as the continued recognition of the contributions of members of the former Syrian community in Chile and the important role they play in creativity, development and building bridges of love between Chile and its homeland.
