Police have released the name of the young man who died in a crash on State Highway 8 south of Alexandria on Tuesday.
He is 19-year-old Sebastian Henry Waldron from Alexandra.
The Serious Crash Investigation Unit attended the scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident.
A police spokesman said: “Crashes of this nature are extremely concerning and we have arranged appropriate support for the first members of the public and our officers to arrive at the scene.”
“We thank each of them for their help and courage.
“We understand that incidents like this will come as a shock to the local community and we offer our sincerest condolences to Mr Waldron’s family.”
