Lithuania’s parliament calls on Georgia’s parliament to repeal Russian law. The relevant resolution was passed a few minutes ago, with 93 representatives supporting it, 5 opposing it and 10 abstaining from voting.
In a resolution, the Lithuanian Parliament expressed support for the Georgian people.
Congress calls on EU institutions to:
“Considering the possibility of retaliatory measures if the Georgian government rejects President Salome Zurabishvili’s veto and continues to implement this law and continues to persecute civil society”.
The Parliament calls on the Georgian Parliament to:
Review the passed External Influence Transparency Act;
ensuring freedom of assembly and speech;
Promote the development of and dialogue with national civil society;
Uphold the constitutional obligation to further integrate into the EU and NATO and to continue necessary reforms.
