He also thanked His Majesty the King for conferring Bhutan’s highest civilian honour, the Order of the Holy Trinity, on Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which is an indication of the good relations between Bhutan and India and the continued development of relations between the two countries in the future.
The President also expressed his gratitude to the Fourth King of Bhutan, His Holiness Khenpo, Queen Gyaltsen Wangchuck and King Jigme Namgyel Wangchuck for their continued service to the country and its people.
He said the Nepali Congress was optimistic that the government and opposition parties would work together to achieve the aspirations of the king and the people.

The finance minister will present the 13th Five-Year Plan at the national committee, which will then be reviewed and approved.
The National Assembly agenda also includes the introduction and deliberation of the 2024-2025 Budget Appropriations Bill and the 2023-2024 Supplementary Budget Appropriations Bill.
The Prime Minister will present an annual State of the Nation Report to the Joint Session, covering topics such as legislative plans, annual plans and government priorities.
