The National Guard Health Department has prepared (5) medical clinics and a heat stress and heat stroke center in Mina and Arafah.

The National Guard Health Affairs Department has completed preparations for other relevant departments of the country to serve God’s guests during this year’s Hajj, with clinics and heat stroke centers ready in the holy land. More than 250 employees and medical practitioners are involved in heat stroke treatment in Mina and Arafat, including about 50 doctors with specialties in critical care, cardiology, emergency medicine, internal medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedics, family and community medicine, and infection control.

Dr. Jabr Al-Subaie, Executive Director of Employment of the Health Affairs Department of the National Guard in the Western Region, explained that they serve the guests of God in 5 clinics in Mina, providing services for both men and women. There are also 26 beds for respiratory diseases, special beds for intensive care, isolation rooms for infectious diseases, minor operating rooms and dressing rooms, dental clinics, pharmacies, laboratories and radiology departments.

The Ministry of Health Affairs also participated for the second year in the Heat Stress and Heat Stroke Centre in Alafah, which has 20 beds and is equipped with the latest equipment to treat cases of heat stress and heat stroke, featuring an air and water spray distribution system that covers all parts of the victim’s body through scientifically distributed water sprays, in addition to male and female clinics and an outpatient pharmacy.

Dr. Majid Al-Thaqafi, Medical Director of Mina Field Hospital, said that emergency response teams equipped with the latest emergency and support equipment are fully prepared at the Jamarat site in Mina and the Jabal Al-Rahma site in Arafat.
