PADANG, Bali (ANTARA) – The 2024 High-Level Forum on Multi-Stakeholder Partnership (HLF MSP) to be held from September 1 to 3 is expected to have a significant multiplier effect on the local economy of Bali.

“This event will have a positive impact on the micro and macro levels of Bali’s economy,” Bogat Widyatmoko, deputy minister for political, legal and security affairs at the Bali National Development Planning Ministry (Bappenas), said on Sunday.

The event was attended by approximately 1,275 delegates from 26 countries, including government representatives, international organizations, non-governmental organizations, the private sector, academics, think tanks, multilateral banks and philanthropies.

Widyatmoko hopes the forum will increase the number of domestic and foreign visitors.

He added: “The HLF MSP will boost local economic growth by stimulating demand for accommodation, food and beverages, transport services and tourist destinations.”

The forum aims to promote various multi-stakeholder partnerships to enhance Indonesia’s future economic resources.

As part of the 69th anniversary commemorations of the 1955 Asian-African Conference, the HLF MSP provides an opportunity for Indonesia to showcase its strategic progress in the economy, social sectors and environment, in line with the Golden Indonesia Vision and the National Long-term Development Plan 2025-2045 (RPJPN).

The HLF MSP is expected to serve as a strategic platform to discuss transformative collaborations to address global challenges such as the development gap.

It will bring together government and non-governmental stakeholders to find solutions and take collective action on global issues.

“It is expected that the network between domestic and global economic players will promote closer economic cooperation in the future,” Widyatmoko said.
