BANJA LUKA – Rector of the University of Banja Luka Radoslav Gajanin opened this evening on the university campus the annual exhibition of works by students of the university’s Faculty of Arts, which features more than 1,000 works from various artistic fields.
Gajanin stressed that the college’s students have great potential and creativity, and the university leadership will always support their affirmation.
“The growing participation in exhibitions organized by our Academy of Arts speaks for their quality and importance, and this exhibition is proof of that, attracting a growing number of visitors every year,” Gajanin said at the exhibition’s opening.
He noted that he is proud of his current and former students, who are now well-known artists and who acquired knowledge at the University of Banja Luka.
“Art has no borders, so artists are the best ambassadors of the university, showing us the best side of it,” Gajanin said.
The annual exhibition of student works at the Faculty of Arts at the University of Banja Luka showcases the different art forms, methods and action strategies that students have worked on throughout the academic year.
Authors of the best works received awards from the Academy of Arts and a number of cultural institutions such as museums, galleries and cultural centres in Republika Srpska.
The exhibition runs until October 1 and can be viewed in five locations: in the building of the Academy of Arts and the Rectorate of the University of Banja Luka, in the building behind the Academy of Arts building, in the school building opposite the Academy of Arts. From the Faculty of Philology to the street, in Studio 2.20 of the Faculty of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy and from the Faculty of Philology to the Academy.
