Mbabane – Are you worried that your children have too much free time?
No need to worry because Swaziland Television has brought home learning courses back to our screens!
The Swaziland Television Authority (ESTVA) will resume its popular home learning programmes, which are tailored for students in Year 7, Year 3 and Year 5. The programmes will be broadcast every Saturday from 10am to 1pm, providing learners with a valuable resource to consolidate their knowledge and prepare for upcoming academic challenges.
This was confirmed today (Thursday, August 15, 2024) by Senior Marketing Communications and Brand Officer (SMCBO) Nomcebo Malinga.
Malinga told the publication that since it is the school holidays, Swaziland TV would like to alert all viewers to an exciting initiative aimed at supporting students during the school holidays.
“This is part of our educational vision and we are very excited that finally there is a slot on Swaziland Television that reflects our mission and is dedicated to our young audience,” Malinga said
According to Malinga, the home learning curriculum will cover compulsory subjects in line with the national curriculum, including mathematics, science, English and Swazi language subjects.
The at-home learning sessions are reruns of classes that aired during the COVID-19 pandemic and feature professional educators who help students by sharing key concepts and test prep strategies for each subject.
