The draw for the Europa League league stage, which took place for the first time under the new system, took place today, Friday, leading to many long-awaited confrontations.
Following in the footsteps of the Champions League, the draw for the new Europa League season will be done by computer, rather than the manual method used in previous years.

According to the new intercontinental club competition system approved by the European Union, the number of participating teams in the new European League has increased from 32 to 36, which is the first time in the history of European clubs.
The group stage was scrapped and replaced by a league format with 36 teams divided into 4 groups (4 levels according to UEFA’s classification), each team then faced two opponents from each level in 8 different matches (4 in the stadium and 4 outside the stadium).
