Prime Minister Kay Rala Xanana Gusmao received Australian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Richard Marles at the Government Palace in Dili today (30 August 2024).457514666_379237208565947_4601395244824925547_n

The meeting was attended by Minister of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers Agio Pereira, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Bendito dos Santos Freitas, Minister of Defence Donaciano do Rosario Gomes and the Australian Ambassador to Timor-Leste, Caitlin Wilson.

The meeting discussed bilateral cooperation issues, focusing on the Programme for Workforce Mobility (PALM), the development of the Greater Sunrise project, cooperation on maritime security, and the approval of the Memorandum of Understanding on Technical Cooperation for Development.
