The Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, reported that during his seven years as head of the Public Ministry (MP), a total of 1 million 515 thousand 358 people were served.
“This truly deserves a round of applause as this direct focus on our people is unprecedented,” Sabo said in a statement during the “Public Affairs Goes to Your Community” event held at Carabobo Park Plaza on Wednesday.
In addition, the agency’s top authorities said that through these “street justice” programs (MPD goes into your community and MPD handles your complaint in the parish), nearly 58,000 people have been served nationwide.
Deployment and balancing
Likewise, the Attorney General detailed that, in the deployment to Carabobo Park alone, 450 people were treated and 83 officials were deployed; 10 of them general managers; 32 supervisors and 40 prosecutors from the Caracas metropolitan area.
Saab said that among the 29 complaints received in Caracas, cases of rioting stood out; illegal occupation of real estate; injuries; theft; gender violence and appropriation.
Likewise, he reported that 304 referrals had been made, of which 137 cases were of a non-criminal nature; 110 included referrals to other organizations; 57 referred to neighbourhood coexistence issues; 32 requests for expedited cases and 22 requests for social assistance had been received, the councillor reported in a press release.
