SANTO DOMINGO – The spokesman of the House of Representatives of the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM), Amado Díaz, believes that congressmen from the ruling party must make concessions on some issues and make progress on others in order for the reform proposals submitted by the PRM to be passed by the President of the Republic.
He told reporters that PRM lawmakers were in the process of “socialization” but there was still “no consensus or dissent” on the proposal.
One of the hottest issues is the quest to cut the number of delegates from 190 to 137.
However, Dias, the Santo Domingo provincial representative, said that what is most important is that the country will undergo constitutional reform because the PRM is a disciplined entity.
