Damascus (SANA) – In public dialogues with ambassadors, heads of diplomatic missions and personnel of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, President Bashar al-Assad demonstrated his approach to current political issues, based on unchanging logic and principles, on the one hand, and regional and expatriate approaches, on the other hand, and international challenges.
During the dialogue, President Assad confirmed Syria’s consistent foreign policy in relations with the Arab and regional environment, international relations, and responding to international challenges and changes in accordance with strategic and realistic visions, emphasizing that bilateral China-Arab relations are the core of consolidating relations with Arab countries.
President Assad also spoke about Syria’s clear position on the Arab-Israeli conflict and, in response to the efforts of the United States and its Western allies to expose the Al-Aqsa flooding as the cause of today’s tensions, said that the Al-Aqsa flooding operation should be evaluated in the context of the Palestinian issue, rather than pointing out that it was necessary as a sudden on-site incident.
President Assad also stressed that the complexity and challenges of dealing with Syria today are related to Syria’s geographical and historical location, as a battlefield and a focus of colonialist ambitions throughout history.
President Assad pointed out that the chaos created by the United States has exacerbated world instability. Today’s international conflicts are economic and technological conflicts. In particular, the West is beginning to lose its technological control over the East, which will accelerate the formation of a new multipolar world.
The future belongs to the East, as it can preserve its own identity and principles, the President explained, noting that successive developments confirm the escalation and continuation of this conflict, which will also create more crises for all countries and peoples of the world.
The dialogue also touched upon the institutional aspects of diplomatic work; President Assad stressed that this process is inseparable from the institutional development of all other branches of government.
The President also stressed the importance of developing working rules, communication and coordination mechanisms between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its missions abroad by establishing a permanent dialogue at all levels to ensure a clear framework and standards for the implementation of all aspects of diplomatic work.
President Assad’s dialogue came after the regular meetings of Syrian ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions held in the past few days at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.
