For millions of Americans, working through lunch is the norm. The pitiful salads and Tupperware containers of prepared foods that grace our desks are as much a part of the workday as checking email or clocking in.

But what if it didn’t have to be this way? What if this type of work-life balance wasn’t just frowned upon, but prohibited by law?

This week, we follow an American as he travels to a foreign country with an even more unfamiliar work culture: France.
