Heavy rains pounded parts of the Pullman area Wednesday night, causing extensive damage to roads and farms near the Coral and Valley coasts.
Local sources reported to Hespress that the storm caused a significant increase in the water load in some valleys and reefs. In addition to the bulldozing of large agricultural areas and irrigation systems, this also led to the destruction of technical facilities (bridges) and the flooding of some road sections.

The same source stated that the high load in Oued Al-Maassir, a neighborhood in Marse, led to the washing away of a bridge, major damage to a suspension bridge at the Ait Makhchoun roundabout, and the destruction of a bridge connecting Ait Bencharif and Ait Hassain Ouhdou roundabout on the one hand and Al-Zawiya on the other, stressing that these facilities contribute to breaking the isolation of residents in the area and connecting the Mars neighborhood to Ait Al-Mann through Ait Makhshoun.
According to sources in Jalida, the high water level in the valley and the force of the floods have resulted in the destruction of fields designated for the cultivation of potatoes and onions along the Kiko Valley. The heavy floods caused by the heavy rains have also caused huge damage to the irrigation systems of fields and farms along the Wadi Sarjina and Wadi Masher.

According to a bulletin issued by the General Directorate of Roads of the Ministry of Equipment and Water Resources on Thursday morning regarding the state of roads; yesterday Wednesday’s heavy storms caused waterlogging in valleys and reefs, leading to the Bormane region cutting off regional road number 502 connecting Sargina and Imouze-Marmusa on the one hand, and regional road number 5109 connecting Sargina and Skoura on the other hand, due to high loads in Wadi Isnan and Ait, Almars and Skoura.
The same source also reported that the flooding also caused the closure of regional road 502 between Boulmane and Sarghina due to high loads in the Arela Valley. Flooding in one of the water reefs also caused the closure of regional road 503 between Fez and Boulemane and regional road 7103 between Kiko and Skoura, indicating that the last section has been reopened for traffic.
