Tonight, the Ministry of Culture’s Nomas Center concluded this year’s summer programme, which included several events and workshops that contribute to the preservation of Qatar’s heritage, identity and popular heritage.
Ms. Maryam Ahmed Al-Dosari, Head of the Girls Department at the Nomas Center, said that during the summer, the center held a series of various activities, events, projects and workshops for different age groups, explaining that the center concluded the summer activities together with the Mass Heritage Program held at the headquarters of the Dafna Center, which attracted a large number of female members.
She explained that the center has organized some specific activities dedicated to Qatari folklore through several projects and workshops, including: “Ceat Etiquette” workshops and “Fawala” (which is a colloquial name for hospitality), in addition to the “Kor and Needle” project, which provides simple sewing techniques for female members, in addition to the “Traditional Handmade Creations” workshop and the folk doll making workshop.
