The realities of life for farmers and other sectors of Syrian society require vigilance and special work on the agricultural front in order to mobilize all energies in the process of doubling production in various ways and means in the work strategy, ensuring the sale of agricultural products, which raises many questions about the work of the General Federation of Trade Unions, for farmers we only hear complaints!
The “silent alliance”, which no longer exists in the diary of the peasants, except for the signs of the absence of some agricultural associations due to weak performance, reflects, like a mirror, the reality of the existence of agricultural organizations that have not yet been able to think outside the box, because of the lack of effective initiatives in the agricultural sector, which is essentially part of its tasks and agricultural role, but which is strongly impacted today by the adoption of an office work policy that is unable to develop a strategy of collective production work, capable of involving everyone in the battle of agricultural production and overcoming all forms of challenges in the agro-economic approach, through which every inch of land can be invested… The increase of production generators in the construction of new buildings Given the poverty and abject poverty of the peasant society, the obstruction of public life, which spared no effort and sweat for the country and did not fail to achieve agricultural productivity, which was and remains one of the most important components of victory, it must be noted here that what is happening represents a negative withdrawal of the levers of agricultural work due to the failure of some to fully perform their tasks.
Despite the fact that the development of the agricultural sector has a high place in the government’s priorities in the economic and social development of our country, this has not contributed to the adoption of successful market policies that would avoid the loss of the farmer’s labor force, so that, at the end of his season, he harvests what he needs, enough to allow him to remain productive and hold on to his land. Undoubtedly, “the weakness of various marketing links and the lack of leading marketing institutions and companies” prevent farmers from obtaining good financial returns, and farmers are heavily indebted and suffer heavy losses, not to mention the risks that come with climate change.
There is no doubt that the repeated focus on the issue of agro-marketing every season and the emphasis on the fact that the problem is close to an effective solution that will bring positive results to farmers has become a mirage and reflects a systemic state of confusion among all parties involved, as all the marketing hype has not changed the facts, the results achieved are negligible and have had a significant impact on the trust between farmers and the relevant authorities. The success of the agro-marketing process, its challenges have been talked about, whether it is the difficulties in exports due to the impact of events and economic blockades, or the lack of industrial projects. Unfortunately, many of the ideas used in the field of agro-industrialization have been incorporated into unsolvable mathematical equations, which offset the production capacity of agricultural products. Despite having many elements of success, economic viability is a trap that leads any project into losses.
Unfortunately, there are many projects that are currently still in the throes of development, although they do not require a lot of technology or require a lot of money, all that is needed is to develop a regional calendar for these industries according to the different types of available agricultural production, which puts manufacturers and their raw materials in the productive capacity itself, which reduces many production expenses and the cycles that pass through them in a well-defined marketing and manufacturing strategy that links production, manufacturing and export policies. On the one hand, establish a mutually connected relationship between agricultural production facilities and farmers, thereby increasing the added value of crops and reducing their losses.
