The President of the Republic guaranteed this Wednesday (28th) the construction of a football stadium with a capacity of 8 to 10 thousand spectators. João Lourenço said in the city of Mbanza Congo that the funds for this purpose will already be included in the next General State Budget (OGE 2025).
The project is part of the outcome of a meeting held on Wednesday morning in Mbanza Congo between the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, and the provincial government of Zaire.
At the same meeting, it was decided that the province will receive another important infrastructure for the development of sports, a multifunctional stadium, which will be built in the city of Soyo. The corresponding funds must also be included in the 2025 state budget.
Considering its strategic importance, a new road link (Road) Soyo-Mbanza Congo was also considered, a route that shortened the distance between the two cities.
Water supply systems in Soyo and Musela were also part of the infrastructure identified at the meeting as necessary and must be implemented.
The Governor of Zaire, Adriano Mendes de Carvalho, expressed the concerns of the people of his province to the President of the Republic, João Lourenço.
Mendes de Carvalho spoke about the need to support the promotion of local production.
