In the first round, the outgoing president, who had been elected for five consecutive years, received 26 votes. Naïa Wateou, the royalist and assembly candidate, had 19 votes. Philippe Dunoyer collected six communiques from his Caledonian group. Veylma Falaeo received three expected votes and was therefore the lowest of the four candidates. All non-independent supporters supported her candidacy, with the exception of Gilles Brill (royalist), who called for a suspension. A surprise for Veylma Falaeo herself? Oceania Awakening wants to find its place, just like in 2019. I think we are at the beginning of a new era, the era of the middle way. But what is important is to reach a consensus.
