The update is retroactive and compensation will be effective from January 1, 2024
At a syndicate meeting held yesterday, it was unanimously agreed to a draft law amending the budget to allow the pensions of non-resident retirees to be updated according to the unified consumer price index of the euro area. The text foresees an increase of 2.9% in pensions for those who have contributed to the retirement sector for at least 15 years and have moved their residence outside Andorra, as long as they are below twice the minimum wage and 25% of the unified wage. The CPI is between the second and third minimum wages. The minimum wage equivalent to the third level and above will not be increased.
This update is retroactive and the compensation will take effect from January 1, 2024.
