Founded in 2003 by Isaac Mulindwa, the PAM Awards is a premier platform to recognise and celebrate musical talent in Uganda and across East Africa.
By 2006, the event’s entry categories had been expanded to include musicians from neighboring countries, further elevating its status.
The winners of the PAM Awards are selected through a jury and public vote, ensuring the voices of industry experts and fans alike are heard.
However, by 2011, the award faced internal challenges, including financial pressures that Emma Carlos pointed out, leading to its eventual demise.
