Posted on Facebook by former Artsakh Foreign Minister Arman Melikyan: “There are two main platforms in the vision of the future of Armenia imposed on society by our political class. One of the platforms raises the question of returning to the “golden age” of Armenia – through the territory of Artsakh or the First Republic, the Wilsonian Armenian borders or the reconstruction of Armenia within the framework of Sea-to-Sea Armenia (i.e., the bearers of this idea look in the same direction, the only difference is the size of the “future” Armenia). The other platform is a way of justifying and defending defeat and capitulation, which is more in line with the political line of the ruling elites responsible for defeat and capitulation. I do not think that these platforms have anything to do with the future of Armenia: one is an ideology that somehow reconstructs the past, the other one defends the present.”
