Moscow (for you) – Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed the general outlines of Russia’s main approach to resolving the Ukrainian crisis in a telephone conversation with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“Modi informed Putin about his recent visit to Kyiv and stressed his interest in contributing to a possible political and diplomatic solution to the situation around Ukraine,” the Sputnik news agency quoted the Kremlin as saying in a statement released on the Telegram app.
The statement noted: “Putin gave a fundamental assessment of the destructive course of the Kiev authorities and their Western supporters and outlined Russia’s main ways to resolve the conflict. The report noted that “the Indian Prime Minister’s visit to Russia discussed the practical implementation of the agreements reached between Russia and India in the trade and economic spheres.”
The statement also included the following: “The statement expressed satisfaction with the level of interaction between the two countries within the BRICS grouping.” Modi confirmed that he is ready to attend the Russia-led grouping’s summit in Kazan, Russia, in October next year.
