Oasis confirm reunion for UK tour next year. – Today

The Britpop band, who broke up about 15 years ago and released their first album Definitely Maybe almost three decades ago, announced the series of shows will begin at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium in July next year.

The UK and Ireland tour will also visit Manchester’s Heaton Park, London’s Wembley Arena, Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium and Dublin’s Croke Park in July and August next year.

Noel, 57, left the Manchester rock band on August 28, 2009, saying he “couldn’t continue working with Liam any more.”

Fans have been pleading with the brothers to reunite ever since a fight backstage at the Seine Festival in Paris sparked their breakup.

Reunion rumours have been intensifying recently since 8am This Morning hinted at an announcement, with reports suggesting the feuding brothers are close to ending their differences.

Confirming the Oasis Live 25 tour, they said: “The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see it. It will not be televised.”

They will play Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on July 4-5, Heaton Park on July 11, 12, 19 and 20, London’s Wembley on July 25-26 and August 2-3, Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium on August 8-9 and Croke Park in Dublin on August 16-17.

Tickets go on sale Saturday, August 31 at 9am.
