Cabinet approved the Air Services Agreement between the Governments of the United States and Fiji for a bilateral open skies arrangement.
This is the first Open Skies Air Services Agreement negotiated by Fiji and Fiji Airways.
Acting Prime Minister and Trade Minister Manoa Kamikamica said the agreement followed the liberalisation of Fiji’s aviation policy to assess the potential for bilateral and multilateral open skies arrangements on a case-by-case basis to ensure the viability of routes and maintain the sustainability of trade, investment and Fiji’s tourism industry.
