Residents say the renewed fighting in the Afar and Somali regions has resulted in casualties. The Ethiopian Human Rights Commission announced in a statement that it is concerned about the damage caused by the ongoing armed conflict along the border between the two regions.
On the other hand, the Ministry of Peace said the Federal Government is working towards ending the resurgence of conflict and is working towards finding a lasting solution to the problem.
