How did we do at the Jubilee Rudar Rock Festival?

On Saturday, the Rudar Rock Festival was held for the tenth time in Probishtip in honor of the Macedonian Miners’ Day.

As a warm-up for the festival, local teenage hopefuls “Blackened” performed, announcing the future of the Macedonian rock scene to the large audience.

The festival was then opened with guests from cover band “Brokedown Band” Kavadarci, who played a few rock hits before closing the show with two of their own songs.

Next, guests from Skopje, the band Shirshaja, took to the stage. The band’s name comes from Church Slavonic and means “wider than the sky”.

Third on the Probishtip stage was the guest band “The Big Deal” from Smederevo, Serbia, who rocked the audience with their energetic performance, which included not only Probishtipians, but also Svetinikola, Kochan, Stip, Skopje, Veles and others. …

Then the second guest from Vranje, who came from neighboring Serbia and is well known to the Macedonian audience, performed.

The evening ended with the Kicevo band “Inner Hate” with their melodic/death metal.

We expect to hold Rudar Rock Fest in the same period next year 2025.
